Course Overview

Explore how political systems, international relations and public policy shape societies at local, national and global levels. You will examine key political ideas, institutions and contemporary global challenges while developing the analytical and communication skills needed to understand and influence decision-making.

Throughout the course, you will develop practical and professional skills, including:

  • Understanding political systems, international relations and policy-making
  • Exploring issues such as social justice, climate change and decolonisation
  • Learning through international experiences, including opportunities to travel abroad, visit embassies and engage with policymakers
  • Building research, critical thinking and communication skills through debate, discussion and student-led activities

The course combines academic study with practical learning to prepare you for careers in policy analysis, governance, public affairs, international organisations and related fields.
