In order to avoid delays in getting your visa, it is very important to apply for your����as soon as you have received your Confirmation of Acceptance for Study (CAS) letter. Any delays in receiving your visa, will impact your ability to register onto your course on time.

How to book University Accommodation:

To book a room, create an online account and log in. Select the academic year you wish to book for, then you can choose the property, your room, and tenancy length, pay your deposit, and accept the room offer within a few minutes. If you have any special requests or requirements, please use the ‘Create Application’ route.

Once an application is processed and a room offer is made, you have 3 calendar days to accept the offer and pay the deposit. Once these steps are done, the booking is complete, and you have entered a legally binding contract.

Important Information

The Green/Unipol do not offer any student under the age of 18.

It is advisable to move into your accommodation a day or two before your course start date so that you are fully rested and ready to attend our informative and engaging induction events.

All students that are in the UK on a Student Route visa MUST reside within a 40-mile radius of the university campus. Student Route visa Students who declare a term-time address outside of a 40-mile radius, or that are believed to have declared an address at which they do not genuinely reside in during term time will have their registration cancelled and the University will notify UKVI of a withdrawal of Student Route sponsorship for that Student.

We will request updates on your accommodation details via CAS Shield, the online self-service system that you used when you submitted your CAS documents. Please ensure that you click the button that best represents your situation so we can promptly assist you.

Immediately after you’ve received your visa, book your flight. When booking your flight, please make sure you arrive a few days before your first day of the term, so you have enough time to check-in to your accommodation and you join your classes on time.

We will request updates on your flight details via CAS Shield, the online self-service system that you used when you submitted your CAS documents. Once you’ve booked your flight, please upload your flight ticket on CAS Shield so we can prepare for your arrival.

The University runs an airport pick-up service from Leeds/Bradford Airport and Manchester Airport at certain times of the year. You can see the available times within the form below.

Registration is a two-stage process and only stage one needs to be done pre-arrival. Both are compulsory and need to be completed in the sequence outlined below:

STAGE 1 – Online Registration

Online registration is a compulsory requirement, and all students need to complete it. The details that you will provide as part of the online registration task will allow us to prepare for your arrival such as creating your Student ID card, setting up your university email address and enable your IT facilities.

Once you’ve received your CAS, you will be sent an email from University of Bradford to complete your online registration, with your username, and separate email with your password. Please note that this won’t be earlier than six weeks before your course start date.

Important!��Before you are able to start your online registration you must activate your university account so that you create a secure password which you will need in order to enter the registration portal. Activating your university account requires a personal email address, where we will send you the instructions for a password reset and authentication. If you have not received this email to your personal account, please contact +44(0)1274 236161 or email��[email protected]��and provide us with your correct personal email address. Please remember that activating your university account is not online registration.

Once you’ve activated your university account you will be able to enter the registration portal and complete your registration.

Please note that you will not be able to attend lessons or receive your timetable until online registration has been completed.

STAGE 2 – Document Checks

Once the online registration is complete, you will need to come to campus student centre for face-to-face document checks.

You will need to bring: current, valid and in date passport and Relevant immigration document (e.g. stamped entry visa, eVisa).

You must attend in order to have your full registration finalised and to officially become a university student. Without full registration status you will be classed as non-arrival, and this will have an impact on your visa.

During the document check, you can also pick up your Student ID card.

We strongly advise that you pay your remaining fee from your home country as soon as you receive your visa and before you travel to the UK. Settling all due payments prior to arrival will allow you to focus on your studies and to enjoy your student life. Without paying your tuition fees, you may not receive your timetable and may have restrictions applied to your university facilities.

If you will finance your studies via Student Loan Company (SLC), you must make your application prior to arrival at the college. You can start making an application by clicking HERE. Please note that SFE take between 6 to 8 weeks to process SLC applications so please sure that you apply well in advance of your course start date.

Fraudulent Tuition Fee Information:

We are aware of instances occurring where international students are being approached in person or via social media and other channels by individuals offering to pay their university tuition fees for them at a reduced rate if they use a ‘third-party facilitator’.

How the fraud is carried out

These scams are predominantly carried out online using large numbers of compromised cards. In many cases, students have shared their student ID and date of birth, allowing fraudsters to ‘pay on their behalf”. Please do not share your unique student number, date of birth, or any login details with others.

How to protect yourself

If an offer sounds too good to be true, it usually is. Fees should always be paid directly by students or their parents to us, rather than to a ‘third-party intermediary. Please report any suspicious approaches to our Credit Control team at [email protected], and always ask us for advice if you are unsure.

Setting up your eVisa account:

You can set up your eVisa as soon as your visa is��granted. You should create your UKVI online account��before arriving in the UK. This ensures you can manage your digital immigration status without delays.

Steps to Take:

1. Access Your eVisa:��Create a UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) account to access your eVisa ()

Ensure your personal details and the passport you will use for travel are correctly linked to your UKVI account. ()

2. Verify Your eVisa Details:��Use the ‘View and Prove Your Immigration Status’ service to confirm that your immigration status is displayed correctly and that you have permission to travel to the UK.

We want you to have the best possible student experience and we will provide you informative induction and orientation events to help you settle into your studies and make friends. We strongly advise that you don’t miss any of these events and that you attend lectures from day one in order to have the best possible academic outcome.

To enjoy the full student experience, you need to arrive at the College no later than the course start date as stated in your offer letter and Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS).

It is important that you declare any medical conditions, disabilities or specific learning differences during your admission stage so that we can prepare to support you before you arrive. However, you will also get the opportunity to let us know during your face-to-face registration. You can let us know anytime if anything changes and we can offer support and guidance.

You will be issued with your student card when you complete your enrolment & ID check appointment. Students are required to have their student card with them at all times when on campus and the card is also used for access to rooms and swiping into lessons.

GP (General Practitioner) is a doctor that provides medical treatment and can refer you to other National Health Services (NHS)

The team at UBIC will assist with registering with a local Doctor. When registering you will need original copies of your Passport and Student ID.

Free SIM cards are available from the college, these are pre-loaded with 20GB of data and 100 international minutes.

International Student Support Office in the Richmond Building also provide sim cards.

Once you arrive in the UK you may find it useful to open a UK bank account. To do this you will normally require:

• Your eVisa/Share code
• Your passport
• A letter of introduction to the bank (which you can request from [email protected] – you must know which bank you wish to open an account with first)
• Proof of address such as a lease agreement

Everyone who possesses a TV, or devices such as a radio or tablet, must pay a TV licence fee.�� TV licences must be renewed annually and can be purchased from the Post Office or online.�� For more information go to��

All students at the University of Bradford International College are required to pay tuition fees either before the start of the course or during the enrolment process. If you are unable to pay your fees prior to the start of your course please contact the credit control team at��[email protected]��

Failure to pay your tuition fees will result in your becoming a debtor and you will be subject to College Sanctions.

Please note that the fees that you pay for the first part of your course at the University of Bradford International College��do not include the fees for the second stage of your course at the University.��If you wish to discuss payment for stage 2 of your course please speak to the Payzone team located in the Atrium of the Richmond Building. If you are unclear about this, please contact the college immediately.

You will need your University of Bradford email address and password to access Eduroam (University network).

Before you start you will receive an email from our IT Services department to your personal email account with details of your new username for your IT account. You will need to enter your new username to  for your IT account.

Please read and follow the steps in the email carefully as you will need your IT account to use all the University services.

During your face-to-face registration, you will receive a quick post arrival survey to complete. This will allow us to see how you have found your arrival at the College and highlight to us any areas of improvement or changes that we can make to ensure the process is as smooth as possible for students.

Ensure that you have familiarised yourself with the UBIC attendance policy. The course is an in person course and your attendance is monitored daily. Failure to attend may result in you being terminated from your course and your visa being curtailed.

Canvas is your virtual learning environment where you can access your course materials, submit your assignments and communicate with your teacher and fellow students. You can access canvas via the link below and sign in with your university username. A canvas mobile app is also available. If you have any problems accessing Canvas when you start your course please speak to your tutor or the UBIC Student Support Office.

To log onto

The name of your Personal Academic Tutor is available via evision. They will contact you within the first few weeks of the course but you can also email them at any time.

Your Personal Academic Tutor will:

• Support you through university life and help you to get the most from your studies
• Discuss any issues that are stopping you from engaging effectively with your modules, and work with you to find resolutions
• Help you to focus on your personal and professional development, including your career aspirations
• Be a point of contact for you to raise academic issues
• Be available to offer advice, support or guidance, or to direct you to appropriate sources of assistance in the University

During the first week of term induction, meet and greet events will be scheduled for current/new students, tutors, and members of staff.�� The schedule will be confirmed at your enrolment meeting. It is important that you attend these events so that you get to know your fellow students, tutors and UBIC support staff. You can also register for trips organised by the University via��.

The induction sessions will help you familiarise yourself with the College, the team, the campus and facilities, and the city. It will also be an opportunity to speak with current students and to make friends. You will receive a lot of useful information about how to open a bank account, how to register with a doctor and what services are available to you. You will also attend an academic induction during the first week of teaching. This is an opportunity for you to meet your tutors, learn all about your course, meet classmates and ask questions.

These inductions also give you the opportunity to ask questions and get an understanding of what to expect during your time at the college.

The Student Union’s  primary mission is to promote and represent student interests throughout the University. The Student Union also offers advice, guidance and support to students along with access to facilities for social and recreational events. As a student of UBIC, you are automatically a member of the student union and have access to its facilities and support services.

As an embedded College within the larger University of Bradford you will have access to the university’s IT support Services, The University’s IT Services are there to help students and staff with any IT problems and questions. As a student of UBIC, you have access to the University of Bradford’s library. Within the library, you will find the books, texts, and journals you will need to complete many of your assignments as well as study areas, electronic resources, and staff who will help you locate information you might need. Careers and Employability services at the University offer guidance and advice to students on career-related matters. Academic Skills Advice:
Most students will need some support with their studies during their time at university. The Academic Skills Advice Service helps students with all areas of academic study and interpersonal skills. They offer one-to-one sessions, group advice, and workshops and they have a number of online study skills resources. UBIC students can access these resources free of charge, all of which are delivered throughout the year both online and on campus. The University also offers an interactive range of digital resources on Canvas that you can access to support independent learning across all aspects of maths, study skills and writing. Accommodation Advice:��
The University of Bradford International College can provide you with support and advice related to finding suitable accommodation. It is recommended that students live in Halls of Residence, on campus, for at least the first year in Bradford. This accommodation is safe, and secure and is a good way to make friends. There are a variety of prices to suit different budgets​ and rent includes all bills. Living on campus also means that there is no need to pay for expensive public transport.
